Gippsland Cheese is a manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of premium specialty cheeses and accompaniments. Our products are primarily made by Australian dairy farmers who have diversified into cheese making. We work locally together to create cheeses that cater for the Australian palate.

We are 100% Australian owned, supporting farmhouse artisan cheese makers in the Gippsland region of Victoria. In order to broaden our range of  cheeses and accompaniments we also stock products produced across Australia and internationally.

Gippsland Cheese had its beginnings in 2004, formed due to demands by provincial cheese makers for a local, independent distribution network. Having a direct relationship with cheese makers gives us a greater understanding of the processes and diversity of the individual cheeses we stock.

The local cheeses we supply are Artisan’s Table (our own manufactured range), Tarago River, Maffra Cheese Co, Berry’s Creek, Milawa, Vannella Cheese, Pantalica and Mamma Lucia. We also distribute Pepe Saya cultured butter and food service units of Eoss Yoghurt.

We provide both bulk and individually portioned, packed and labelled cheese to specialist retailers and the food service industry. We can hand-cut and pre-price cheese to your specific requirements. Current top end clients include specialty retailers, caterers, destination delicatessens and food stores, and supermarkets.

Recently we’ve commenced importing and distributing international cheeses, predominantly from Italy, France and Spain. Our ideology is to continue to support small regional craftsmen and women that create product that reflects their culture, history and terroir.
